THE AGAPANTHUS PROJECT

montage of agapanthus flowers wilting then being used for art project

This is the plan: From Apaganthus flowers to free events in Berkeley parks.

During the summer and fall of 2010, I'll be collecting wilted and "gone to seed" Agapanthus flowers from yards and parkways strips (between street and sidewalk) in Berkeley, CA (with permission of course). After allowing them to dry and removing debris, I'll host a series of free public create-with-nature events featuring what I hope will be a huge collection of dried Agapanthus flowers.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

You tell me where and when, and I'll cut your flowers (carefully!) for you. If you have Agapanthus growing at your place, the beautiful blooms will soon be wilting. Send me an email with your name and address and I'll add you to my "collection" roster. If you want me to cut them ASAP, let me know. If now is not the time for cutting, contact me with your info now anyway, and I'll check back with you later in the season.

Another way to help: email this Agapanthus Project Flyer to a Berkeley friend with Apaganthus flowers, or print it and hand it to a neighbor!

THE FREE PUBLIC EVENTS

I'll be announcing free weekend and weekday create-with-nature events in Berkeley parks this summer and fall, featuring our collection of dried Agapanthus. Join my email list or facebook page if you haven't already.
