TECHNIQUES, PRINTING, FRAMING
The images on this site are low-resolution digital versions of photographs taken using 35 mm color slide film, color negative film, or with a digital camera. Some images have been adjusted with regard to brightness, contrast, and/or color saturation for computer display. Adjustments in these parameters may also be made for prints.
In order to see the images on this site most accurately, you should ensure that your computer display is properly calibrated . Be aware that even with calibration, a printed photo will never exactly match one displayed on a screen.
My prints are made using the most advanced methods and media. Currently, this means converting slides and negatives to digital format, then using a "digital enlarger" to expose photographic film, which is then developed using traditional darkroom methods. My prints are made at Pictopia, using matte Fuji Crystal Archive photographic film. Each print is signed on the back before matting or framing. Custom matting and framing includes acid-free archival quality mounting and rag mats, Neilsen metal frames, and standard glass.
Photographic prints made on Fuji Crystal Archive paper are projected to show no noticeable fading after 60 years under standard display conditions. (See How Long Will They Last? An Overview of the Light-Fading Stability of Inkjet Prints and Traditional Color Photographs, by Henry Wilhelm.)
PURCHASING GREETING CARDS
$25 for any ten cards of your choice. Cards are blank inside, measure 5" X 7", include a description on the outside back, and come with envelopes.
Not all solo works are available as cards, only this selection.
Cards are printed on bright white 100% recycled paper (50% post-consumer), with vegetable-based inks and wind power. Envelopes are made from bright white 80lb 100% post-consumer recycled paper.
Packing and shipping: $2 per ten cards; four days delivery in US via USPS first class mail.
